This sword is a picture perfect example of the 1845 infantry officer sabre. The blade is decorated on both sides with Queen Victoria’s monogram, and bears a proof mark that could identify it to Robert Mole.
The sword is in excellent shape and extremely solid with no rattling. It comes with remnants of a scabbard that is still complete enough to be repaired with the correct fittings. A solid example of an iconic weapon.
