This Rifles sword was made in the reign of George V, and most possibly was used in the First World War. It was sold by R.J. Inglis, who had shops at the time in Montreal and Winnipeg.
The sword is very solid, with no rattle. Except for some speckles of corrosion on the forte, the blade is quite clean. The scabbard is also in good shape, with minimal wear. The sword knot is in pristine shape.
