This is a picket weight version of a classic 1845 Navy Officer Sabre made by Wilkinson and bought by the Royal Canadian Navy in 1957. Such sabres were called pusser sabres, and usually lended to warrant officers. The blade is a high quality example marked to Elizabeth II and could still be carried by a current officer serving in most countries of the Commonwealth. The beautiful frost etching is in pristine shape as is the rest of the blade.
It is in pristine shape, with only a slight damage to the missing scabbard closure button, which could be easily repaired. A great high quality sword from the most renowned maker in Britain, complete with its original scabbard in top notch condition.
